International Thursdays with Chef Martin: It’s winter, it's cold, and there’s nothing to do. And yeah, we get bored too. So, in order to let our kitchen cook outside of the box, to give our patrons a chance to get to know us a little better, and to keep our restaurant alive and kicking through the winter months, we are going to host what we are calling "International Thursdays with Chef Martin".

Every Thursday through the winter will be assigned a theme, and Chef Martin will cook a menu to that theme, and offer it either as a served meal in our dining room (along with our regular menu) or as a family style feast in our private dining room, with Martin joining the party to talk about how the food was prepared, discuss the particulars of that night’s theme, and eat and drink amongst Newberg’s finest.

Small Plate Menu Roll-Out!
When we go out to eat we like to order and share a selection of small plates. That way we get to try more things and aren't limited to one entree. It allows us to be more adventurous and satisfy our culinary curiosity. When we first opened Subterra we had a small plate menu, but it proved to be unwieldy in the hustle and bustle of trying to get a new kitchen and crew to work correctly, so we dropped it. But now that we have been open for a while and kind of figured out what we are doing, we think it is time to bring it back. So we have officially launched our new Small Plate Menu. Small plates are available all day and all night, and are half price during Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.

The Bar Is Always Open!   All of our cocktail ingredients are made from scratch - squeezed juices, housemade sour and bloody mix, premium brands of liquor, all at affordable prices.  Weekly drink specials.

Reserve our Private Dining Room! Seating up to 25 for dinner and more for a cocktail party or a conference.  The room can close off completely should you need privacy.  Available for private and corporate uses.  No charge for the use of the room, minimum purchase required.
